So I have this horse 🐎 …. She has been called many names… most of which are G or PG rated… some of which are not 😅.

And I’m not much of a sailor mouth… in fact.. I try REALLY hard not to cuss. But she… she’s pulled cuss words out of me faster than and more often than probably anything or anyone else in the last 15 years (barring the overflowing toilet 🚽).

But for the sake of this post and to protect her innocence (😂), we shall call her the Little Red Rocket. 

You see…

My lovely red rocket really can fly. She’s a LOT of things to a lot of different people(see the horse shoer who not-so-affectionately called her a (and I quote) “dirty pirate hooker” and “son of a motherless goat”)  (Cowboys are funny creatures if nothing else).

But she’s NEVER been accused of being slow or unathletic. Because sister is FAST and can spin on a dime(see above “son of a motherless goat” comment)

But the other day, my Mom (you know, the saint) fed horses for me and I get a text message about “holy cow, the red rocket’s butt muscles! How does she have such big muscles when she’s not even in shape?” 

And she really is stacked. Which matters greatly for what I want her to do-run barrels!

Why does she have muscles on top of muscles? I donno.. But being pretty and fast has been her saving grace on more than one occasion. 

But mostly because that’s a GIFT that God gave her.(whether she’s chosen to use it for good or not is another story)

My other two mares- one of whom shares half of the same genetics…

Wellll…. Let’s just say they are more “flat” bottom girls compared to little red. Gals don’t quite have the badonkadonk.  Yes, they could/can still DO the job (run barrels) but they are not nearly as naturally gifted as the red rocket. 

But thinking about little red’s big ol butt muscles has me thinking. (welcome to my brain 💭)

What am I gifted with that I could put to better use? What are the people around me great at that I could give them more freedom with? Where am I stacked? Where am I… not stacked? Where do I need more training? And what should I just plain outsource and bless?

You see.. Where we might be “son of a motherless goat” 🐐 status on some things, we might really be a red rocket 🚀 on others. The trick is to fix (or outsource) the motherless goat aspects and capitalize on the red rocket aspects. 

So tell me, what is ONE strength of YOURS that you want to capitalize on??

And one… son of a motherless goat aspect that you should probably outsource, lol.
