3 Easy Steps to Choose Content Pillars

Let’s talk content pillars. Some call them content topics or content buckets. They are all the same thing, just different names. 3 Content Creation Tips to Talk Out Your Content

See, here’s the thing, not everyone processes things best by writing. Contrary to what your high school English teacher told you, not everyone gets to be a natural writer just by writing more. Some people are natural-born talker-outers! Meaning this: you need to verbalize something to process it. But how do you verbalize something effectively? How do you best talk out your content? 6 Reasons Your Business Needs a Blog

Is blogging dead? Isn’t the only reason you need to blog is if you want to BE a “blogger” whatever that is? Don’t bloggers just have to post about their food and their travel all the time? I just eat regular people food and go to and from work every day. I just don’t see the value in blogging.  I do NOT have time to blog. Or my personal favorite “blogging isn’t important for my industry (photography, creative, makers, travel, tourism, etc).” And I get it, blogging can seem SUPER overwhelming. Even as a writer, I remember when I first started MY blog with a sleep-eating baby propped up on her nursing pillow, the list of different methods, crazy time-consuming things all the “experts” said I needed, not to mention having to google every other word to figure out what it means. SE-What? BUT, I was determined to write valuable content to help people in the form of a blog. I knew that God was telling me to write and blog. So, I enrolled in figure-it-out-university and passed. Even more than that, along the way I’ve learned just how valuable blogging is to (almost) ANY business, and lots of tips to make it feel not overwhelming and more like a continued conversation with your dream clients.

Why You Shouldn’t Quit Your Day Job Yet

You’ve come up with a brilliant idea. You’ve got the catchy business name, the dream growth plan, and just KNOW this business is going to be gangbusters successful. But it’s going to take so much of your time. You’re ready to go all in. So you start formulating a plan to tell your current boss that you’re out. You’re quitting. You’re ready to live your dream and build that business. After all, YOLO (you only live once for my fellow baby grandmas out there).

But wait. Don’t throw deuces and say “bye Felicia” to the ol 9-5 yet. What if I told you that your future business (not to mention bank account) are MUCH better off if you do NOT quit your day job yet. That’s right, the girl who can go 0-60 on a dream real quick is telling you to SLOW down and DON’T quit your day job for your dream business yet.
